Sunday, June 29, 2008 - At Amy's

We all came over to Amy's house for dinner. We had a wonderful time. This is Larry getting ready to go. He has his sunglasses and two pair of reading glasses. Sometimes he forgets his glasses. Today, he was prepared.

We went to Amy's house for dinner and got to see Adam. Amy fed him some cereal and it was fun to watch.

She would put it in his mouth and he would make a face and then . . . .

it would come back out! Amy is such a great mom! She does a great job of taking care of my grandchildren!

Camille was watching Amy feed Adam and kept saying that it smelled funny and that she didn't like it. Then she started making noises like she might throw up, so she laid down on the floor to feel better. She is so cute. What was Tyson doing while all this was going on?

He is so serious! He really gets into his gaming.

We also got to do some reading together. Shane and Todd were with us as well. We all had a great time as you can see!

Here is a picture of Shane, who was there, as well.
Hare are a couple of cute shots of Adam:

Father's Day

Larry loved this tie that Kristi and James and Jimmy and Peter gave to him. He loves wearing it to church every Sunday.
Larry had a Great Father's Day. Amy and Steve and Camille, Tyson and Adam came to celebrate. We had a great time. Here is Larry opening his presents.

He loves Camille and Tyson and Adam so much! We have a lot of fun together! He loves his "Grandpa" pocket watch. It is one that he can use at work, since he can't wear a wrist watch or rings there. He proudly shows it off to all his co-workers. . . and to those at church. It is fun! Thanks Amy!

A Day with Tyson

On the 5th of June, I got to spend the day with Tyson, Amy's oldest son. He is such a doll! We watched the movie, "Cars" and had some lunch at Carls, Jr. We played with legos and then ran around the yard. He loved picking flowers and shaking them until all the petals fell off. He was so much fun! He enjoyed it almost as much as I did. We had to check out each flower and see how it was doing. We went all the around the house and then back to the swing. We would swing for a minute or two and then we had to go for a "walk" to see the flowers again. It was delightful.

On the way back home, after we took Tyson home, we saw a "sun dog". We took a picture of it. It looked a lot better in person than it does in the picture. It was an awesome day!

New Goodie - Lemon Jello Cake

Well, things have been wild and crazy, just like normal! Amy had her baby, Adam, blessed the first Sunday in June. He is such a doll! Amy looked like Barbie. She had on a cute dress that looked like one that Barbie would wear, and she has lost so much weight since she had Adam, that she looks terrific!

I made Lemon Jello Cake to take to for after the blessing. . . so I am including the recipe:

Lemon Jello Cake
1 Box of yellow Cake Mix
2 Lemons
1 3oz. Box of Dry Lemon Jello
2 cups Powdered Sugar

Pour the dry Lemon Jello into the dry cake mix, then mix as directed on box. Pour mixture in a 9x13 pan that has been greased and floured. Bake as directed. When the cake comes out of the oven, poke holes with a meat fork at 1 inch intervals. Have ready a mixture of two cups of powdered sugar and the juice of two lemons (about 6 tablespoons of lemon juice). Immediately pour over cake. Use a rubber spatula to direct it to seep into poked holes. When cake has cooled, cover it. It is delicious!

Matthew (Larry's son) and his wife, Ruth, also had their wedding reception/barbecue. They had
lots of good food and there were lots of relatives and friends there. It was a lot of fun. It was nice to be able to see Matt and Ruth for a while as well. They seem to be doing really well.

We didn't have to bring anything for their reception, except a gift of money. That was nice. We didn't have to even help set up or clean up which was even nicer! They picked a wonderful day to have it. The weather was warm and there was a breeze blowing. It was wonderful!
